Roy Parry

It is with much sadness that the Wirral Sports Forum announce the passing of it’s former member and Treasurer, Roy Parry. Roy passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday 5th November.
Roy had been instrumental in the success of the Bebington Hockey Club for many years, serving many roles until his appointment as President of the club.
He was one of the people behind the founding of Wirral Schools and Youth Hockey around 1988.
Ronan Kearney, Chair of the Wirral Sports Forum said “We were all sorry to hear of Roy’s death. He served as a valued member of the Wirral Sports Forum representing Wirral’s Hockey clubs and as the Forum’s Treasurer for many years. Our deepest sympathy go to his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.”
His Funeral is on Thursday 25th November, 11am at the central chapel at Landican. (Arrowe Park Road, Woodchurch, Wirral, CH49 5LW) Space inside the chapel is still restricted due to COVID but mourners are able to gather at the doorways / outside.
