Freya Anderson – Wirral Sports Person of the Year 2022

The Wirral Sports Forum are delighted to announce the winner of this years Wirral Sports Person of the Year 2022 is Olympic and Commonwealth gold medallist, Freya Anderson. A packed audience at Hulme Hall, Port Sunlight on Thursday 13th October saw Freya’s father, Ian, accept the award on her behalf due to her being away at the training camp with the GB squad. In a recorded message kindly hosted by her fellow GB team mate Tom Dean, Freya thanked the Sports Forum and the sponsor of this year’s award Liverpool John Moores University and made it known that it was a special award for her to be recognised by her home peninsula. We wish Freya every success in forthcoming swimming championships.
